Meet Camille
A lawyer, teacher, businesswoman and mother, Camille Andrews brings more than twenty years of community service to her campaign to serve the people of the First District of New Jersey in Congress. Camille and her husband, Congressman Rob Andrews, reside in Haddon Heights, New Jersey with their two daughters, Jackie and Josie, Camille's mother Phyllis Wolf and their two cats, Cuppie and Halo.
Committed to serving her community, Camille has given much of her time and talent to the people of South Jersey. She has chaired many wonderful charitable events for various women's organizations and cancer societies. Camille currently serves on the boards of AYCO Charitable Foundation, the Walnut Street Theater, and New Jersey CARES. She was also proud to serve for many years on the Board of Trustees of LEAP Academy Charter School in Camden, which has been proud to have its graduating seniors achieve 100% college acceptance for the last three years in a row.
As an attorney, Camille's professional experience is diverse. For over ten years, Camille served as Associate Dean at Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, where she taught law students Ethics, Evidence, Antitrust, and Complex Litigation. While teaching at Rutgers, Camille was a friend and mentor to thousands of law students who have relied on her caring counsel and guidance to make important decisions in their personal and professional lives. In her capacity as Associate Dean, Camille served the law school and its students as a member of the Judicial Clerkship Committee, Academic Petitions Committee and faculty advisor to the Rutgers Law Journal. In the practice of law, Camille was a Corporate Litigation Partner at the prestigious law firm of Dilworth Paxson LLP, where she specialized in trademark, shareholder litigation, securities, antitrust, and other complex commercial litigation matters. Currently, Camille serves as legal counsel and fund manager to a private equity fund, Context Capital Partners.
Camille Andrews' passion for law and justice is demonstrated in her dedication to continuing legal education. She regularly lectures and has published for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education on a variety of topics, including sexual discrimination, ethics, sports law and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Camille has also published and lectured for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on Securities Litigation and Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. In 1999, Camille was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for Excellence in Continuing Legal Education by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, and in 2005, she received the Rutgers University President's Excellence in Service Award. Camille also served as Co-Chair of the American Bar Association's Law School Administration Committee.
In 1980 Camille graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh, where she completed a four year program in three years, and in 1986, she graduated with honors from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, where she was a member of the Rutgers Law Journal, National Moot Court Team, and winner of the Stratton Moot Court competition. Camille is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and before the United States Supreme Court.
